Review:

Initially I wasn’t really sure I liked this book.  It is written in a different style than I usually read and it took a while to grasp the different words for the types of people/mythological creatures in the story.  However, the further I got in the book, the better it got.  I can’t wait to read the next one to find out what happens next.

I really enjoyed that the author kept surprising me with new twists that I totally didn’t see coming.  I especially enjoyed the fact that this group of “Kin” had a human in their friendship circle.  It was nice to see realistic reactions from a “normal” person and how they/I would react if this kind of stuff started happening in my town.  That bit of realism helped ground the books and keep them honest.

I give this book 4  out of 5 clouds.
